Installed on the grounds of the Staten Island Museum during the 140th Anniversary Celebration, The Staten Island Mandala is constructed using cemetery flowers collected from throughout the southeastern United States. Each element of the design from the island of green in the center, the blue sky, the white nautical compass, all represent what makes Staten Island New York City’s most green and natural borough.
